More than 125,000 accounts suspended by Twitter

With mounting pressure under governments to act, Twitter has stepped up its efforts to curb the use of the platform for promotion of terrorism.

It has suspended more than 125,000 accounts with ISIS links. The accounts, frozen since mid 2015 and were targeted “for threatening or promoting terrorist acts”.
