Korean electronics giant LG and Google have finally launched the much anticipated Nexus 4 devices in India. The 16GB Nexus 4, priced at Rs 25,999 will be sold through LG brand shops, multibrand outlets and specialty stores in the country, the company said.
Unlike in the US, the phone is not available to buy on Google’s online store. The 4.7 inch phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.5 Ghz S4 processor with 2 GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and an 8 Mega Pixel camera.
Over the last week, online retailers such as Flipkart have begun taking preorders for the phone. The phone is priced at $349 in the United States. That converts to a little over Rs 19k. However, adding the taxes and duties would make the costlier in India.
The phone was first launched in mature markets like the United States, UK, Canada & Germany in November 2012.
Meanwhile, LG & Google are said to be working on the next generation Nexus devices already.
