Using Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF), researchers have managed to transform eye reflections into 3D scenes, albeit with limited clarity and accuracy.
They achieved this by capturing a moving individual’s reflective eye light, posing significant challenges such as inherent noise due to iris textures.
Despite obstacles and unclear real-world application, the team views the breakthrough as a stepping stone for future exploration and potential enhancements to 3D scene reconstructive technology.
