44-year-old British May Be the First Person in History to be Cured of HIV

British scientists working on a pioneering new therapy designed to cure HIV, claim to have made a medical breakthrough. The team reported that a 44-year-old test patient, who is the first of the 50 people to complete a trial of the ambitious treatment, showed no sign of the virus after the treatment. The therapy was created to track down and destroy HIV in every part of the body, including in the dormant cells.
