About 31,126 foreign students sought admission in Indian colleges in 2013-14, a sharp decline by 2,030, or 6%, over 2 years, according to the latest ministry of human resource development data. India’s lack of higher education institutes of global quality is what makes it less attractive to students from overseas, cites one Educational report.
