Uber has launched uberCOMMUTE, a new product that lets drivers of private cars share their ride with fellow commuters headed in the same direction. The service will be available between 7am to 9pm across Bangalore.
After the launch of the carpooling initiative for commuter drivers in Delhi, Bangalore will become the second city in India to experience uberCOMMUTE.
This new product for commuter drivers will offer carpooling at the press of a button which will help tackle congestion by getting more people into fewer cars.
The company had earlier launched uberPOOL in Bangalore where fellow riders can share their Uber ride and split the cost of their travel.
