Ever since Google published a new blog using the .google domain, many high profile companies are applying to get their very own brand domains registered as well.
Reportedly, more than 553 companies have signed an agreement with the non-profit ICANN to run their own brand Top Level Domain so far, which includes .kindle, .apple, .ibm, .canon, .samsung, .ford, .delta, .hbo, .mcdonalds, and .nike.
But what does it cost to own your branded domain name? $185,000 for the application fee and $30,000 annual operation fee.
