After Twitter, Now Facebook Joins Race For IPL Digital Rights

The social network is the latest company to join the race to win the digital rights for Indian Premier League, after Amazon and Twitter. These new age companies are joining the league of other heavyweights like ESPN, Sony Pictures Networks India, who are also wanting to grab the mega sporting tender.

Reportedly, Facebook has purchased tender documents worth $10,000 for the popular Twenty20 cricket league rights. BCCI will award the rights for television and digital media starting 2018 for a period of 10 years and 5 years, respectively. The bidding closes on October 25 and the winners will be declared the same day.after Amazon and Twitter
