AI-based tech to avert accidents in Govt. buses of UP and Karnataka

The Road Transport Corporations of Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka have decided to install AI-based technology to help avoid accidents and alert drivers when sleepy.

After successfully testing the system for an extended period, both the Transport corporations have given a go-ahead to the use of this technology. The buses will have devices installed in the front bumper of the bus to avoid collision and another one near the headlight handle to alert a sleepy driver.

The UPSRTC plans to implement this technology to 12,500 buses while KSRTC plans to implement it to 500 buses plying during the night.
