Taking a dig at Railways’ new surge pricing in Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains, the national air carrier has brought out a full page ad, claiming its flights are now cheaper than trains.
On its website, the company has offered spot fares till September 30 on all Rajdhani Express routes, claiming that it will only charge Rs 2,870, Rs 2,990 and Rs 4,090 for last-minute unsold seats on flights from Delhi to Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru, whereas in the new Rajdhani AC II fares on these routes can be as high as Rs 4,054; Rs 4,090 and Rs 5,626.
