To aggregate all services offered by all Airtel with a click on the go, Airtel has launched ‘my airtel’ app for its customers in India. The free app (link) will enable airtel customers across various services (mobile, fixed line, dth etc) to check their outstanding bills, recharge their accounts, make payment, activate deactivate any service; raise requests-complaints. Importantly, the app cuts down the need to access Internet on laptop, PC or calling customer care for using Airtel services.
By using this app, Airtel digital TV customers can also order movies and games, without any assistance from the customer care. Customers can download the application by logging into airtel.in/myairtel or via their device app store. The Java application can be downloaded on a feature phone as well as a smartphone and is available on platforms such as BlackBerry, Android Marketplace, App World and Nokia Store.
For non-airtel internet users, there will also be one time SMS charge for authentication to their respective telecom operators. Given how buggy Airtel site is, we certainly hope that Airtel has invested enough efforts in these apps.
