Latest Ookla Speedtest report states that mobile broadband speed in India has increased during the period of Aug 2018 to July 2019. It also reports Airtel to be the fastest mobile broadband network while Jio as the slowest. It highlights the improvement in the speeds offered by Vodafone-Idea.
This report, however, contradicts the one released by TRAI which states that Jio has outnumbered its rivals throughout the year.
The fixed-line broadband segment saw Jio with the largest increase in the mean download speed during the same time.
Earlier, Ookla predicted a delayed arrival of 5G in India.
