Amazon India is piloting beauty services in Bangalore and is currently available only in selected pincodes.
Beauty services by Amazon lets you order and schedule professional in-home beauty services directly from Amazon.in. Amazon has partnered with third party service to deliver these services.
This is very interesting, as Amazon is still going strong in Grocery while Flipkart and Ola both shutdown their respective services early this year.
The Housejoy Funding?
With the launch of Amazon services, the company does compete with Bangalore based Housejoy.
The trivia here is that Amazon is lead investor in Housejoy, which provides similar services (and many more).
What gives? Is Amazon using Housejoy backend to run this?
