The guaranteed one/two delivery options will only be available on items Fulfilled by Amazon and the order for the item must be placed within the time-frame mentioned on the product detail page of the eligible products.
Currently large and heavy items, even though Fulfilled by Amazon, won’t be eligible for the guaranteed delivery option.
The ecommerce site has said that it will automatically refund shipping charges if the items don’t get delivered by the promised date. But do keep in mind that the delivery guarantee applies to attempted delivery by the promised date, and Amazon won’t be responsible if the customer is not present at the delivery address to take the delivery at that time.
Currently there are 4 delivery options available, Guaranteed One-Day Delivery, Guaranteed Two-Day Delivery, 2-4 Business Days and 5-10 Business Days.

This move by the online retailer will come as a welcome move for a lot of customers who are willing to pay the premium to get their item shippings expedited.
Earlier this year Flipkart mulled launching a premium shipping service, and had asked customers that if they were willing to pay a premium of Rs 80 for the same.
Delivery and logistics have always been a significant cost and problem for ecommerce portals, and with a launch of premium shipping service, might ease a bit of the pain on this front.
