Amazon Looks To Cater To Tech Savvy Sellers With Its New App

Snapdeal says 30% of the 1 lakh sellers registered with its service already use its seller app has launched an app for its sellers in India, facilitating buyer-seller communication, order notifications, order details, shipment confirmations and order fulfilment notifications, right on their mobile devices.
The app will make it easy for sellers to update inventory and list new items on, while also responding more quickly to customer queries.
Further, sellers will also be able to view their sales summary over the period of a day, week or month, all while being on-the-go.
Snapdeal, the other large player in the Indian e-commerce space, claims that 30% of its 1 lakh sellers are already using its proprietary seller app. With features such as ‘scan to sell’ and a customized dashboard where sellers can monitor the number of pending orders and manage inventory are apparently huge hits.
On the other hand, Amazon claims that global sellers using its app have reported that they’re able to respond to customer queries 30% faster using the app.
The seller app in India has been customized specifically to suit the business conditions in the country, allowing listings of only new products and integrating the EasyShip in-browser experience.
The Amazon Seller App is available for free to all registered sellers, and can be downloaded via the Google Play Store, Apple iTunes Store or Amazon AppStore.
