Amazon India To Use Cycles to Deliver Packages; Max Weight 7.5 Kgs

The e-commerce giant has started asking their delivery boys to use cycles, instead of motorbikes to deliver packages in some cities over distances of 3-5 km, as part of its pilot programme. According to Amazon India, the goal is to, be conscious of environment we live in, and reduce carbon footprint.

The e-commerce giant has started asking their delivery boys to use cycles, instead of motorbikes to deliver packages in some cities over distances of 3-5 km, as part of its pilot programme.amazon_india

According to Amazon India, the goal is to, be conscious of environment we live in, and reduce carbon footprint.

The delivery team will use geared bikes to carry packages of up to 7.5 kg weight per trip.

Amazon has piloted several interesting experiments in logistics – right from partnering with BPCL for package pickup to India Post partnership.
