G+J appoints Ampreet Singh as a new CEO of Networkplay

After acquiring Mobile ad-network SeventyNine for an undisclosed amount last week, Gruner + Jahr (G+J), the publishing division of European media conglomerate Bertelsmann AG, has announced the appointment of Ampreet Singh as a new CEO of Networkplay. Singh will succeed Rammohan Sundaram, erstwhile CEO and founder of Networkplay. This is the major restructuring in Networkplay following the acquisition of major stake in the digital advertising network  by  G+J in March this year.

Sundaram hands over as CEO of Networkplay to Singh who is also a cofounder of Networkplay. Prior to Networkplay, Singh worked with Nokia Interactive Advertising, Yahoo India and Tribal DDB. Under his new role as CEO, Singh will be responsible for driving the overall strategy and direction of Networkplay’s business, however he will also continue his current duties as Vice president (Distribution & Client Servicing) and production director of Ad:Tech India at Networkplay. Milind Pathak becomes the One97’s global head  (New Business)

Mobile Internet Company One97 has announced the appointment of Milind Pathak as its Global Head (New business). Prior to this appointment, Pathak was Vice President (Asia Market Unit) at Comviva, where he led and managed sales, business development and strategy. Milind has over 18 years of experience having worked with companies like Comviva Technologies, Buongiorno Hong Kong and Mitsui.

One97 offers mobile based services to consumers using feature phones and smart phones in India. The company has the widest and largest deployment of telecom application cloud platform and its key offerings include mobile content, mobile marketing and mobile commerce services under the brand name- Paytm.
