Gluster was recently acquired by RedHat for $136 million (all cash deal) and Anand will share the Gluster journey with the audience. What’s important about the journey is that a bunch of VCs told Gluster team that
- Storage is a dead business
- You cannot build a global R&D (+product) from India.
That is, the regular stuff you get to hear regarding the Indian startup ecosystem. But the Gluster team proved them wrong and built a global business.
