Andreessen Horowitz Announces $300 Million Crypto & Blockchain Fund

While crypto-currency prices have been falling sharply over the last few weeks, interest from investors seems unabated. Andreessen Horowitz (also known as a16z), one of the earliest investors in a number of top tech companies such as Facebook & Github, announced on 25th June, 2018 a $300 million dollar fund dedicated specifically to crypto-currency and blockchain based startups.
In a blog post announcing the launch of the fund, a16z states that they've been investing in crypto for over 5 years now and are yet to exit from any of them signalling long term interest. Seed investor Chris Dixon added that theirs is an 'all-weather fund' and that they will invest aggressively regardless of any future 'crypto winters'.
