Google has sent out ‘block-the-date’ invitations for its event to be held on September 15th without revealing what they are about to unveil at the event.

In India, Google has partnered with phone manufacturers like Micromax, Karbonn, Spice Mobiles and many others to launch phones below the $100 price mark. These ranges of phones are expected to receive regular updates from Google like the Nexus line. It is expected that Android One will be launched during Diwali season
Putting low end stock OS on low priced phones is one brilliant move that Google has made. With the increasing number of people who are adopting low end smartphones, Google will have a huge market in most developing countries.
Google is expected to spend $1Bn in promoting Android One in India.
