Before Flipkart, Ankit had started his own venture called Youthpad, the social network but it did not shake hands with success. Then, Ankit joined Flipkart in March 2010 and was entrusted with setting up the Media (music, movies and games CDs and DVDs) category. Later, he also launched the Electronics & Fashion category. In 2014, he scaled the marketplace business and on-boarded over 50,000 sellers.
In 2015, Ankit was promoted to Chief Business Officer at Flipkart.
