It’s Friday, and you’re probably figuring out plans for the weekend. Some of us look for the nearest wine shop. Or hunt for a deal at the local pub or liquor outlet. Here’s one more thing to add to the list: dance.
Dancing alone isn’t so much fun as when you are dancing with a partner. And finding a partner can be difficult. Of course, you know what’s coming next. There’s an app for that! The app, called Danzli, helps you find a dance partner close to you.
The app is available for download on Google play. Once you register, it sends you an email with confirmation. (Note to the team: Storing password in plain text may not be a good idea.) You then create a profile, choose the kind of dance you like and set your preferences. The app looks for people who match your tastes and shows you a list. You can like or dislike their profiles. When someone likes you, you get a notification and viola, you’ve got your partner!
The app has a very cool use case. However, dance communities are usually closely knit and usually centered around dance studios. They’re usually well connected as well. The rest, i.e. people who just want to dance or have fun have many dating apps to try. User acquisition is where Danzli will have to innovate on.
Give Danzli a spin and let us know what you think.
