In an attempt to thwart union organising efforts, Apple illegally formed a work group. The Communications Workers of America (CWA) accused Apple of “soliciting employees to join an employer-created labour organisation as a means of stifling union activities.”
The US federal labour law forbids this kind of behaviour. Apple was also accused by the CWA of holding mandatory anti-union meetings.
