Apple Acquires Hyderabad-based Machine Learning Company Tuplejump

Apple has acquired Hyderabad-based machine-learning startup Tuplejump as it seeks to expand its expertise in artificial intelligence. The tech giant bought the company in June, according to an unidentified source, familiar with the deal.

Founded in 2013 by Rohit Rai, Satyaprakash Buddhavarapu, and Deepak Alur, the company built software for processing and analyzing big sets of complex data. Reportedly, Rai and Buddhavarapu have joined Apple and Alur has joined planning and performance management platform, Anaplan.
