Project Titan, the tech giant’s ambitious project to disrupt the car industry is reportedly going nowhere, and the company has drastically laid off employees or reassigned them to different projects.
According to media reports, the company’s executives have given themselves a deadline till late 2017, to reassess plans to either partner with existing automotive manufacturers to provide self-driving software and systems or restart its own car-making project. Apparently, Apple’s plans to build an electric vehicle and make it available by 2019 has been faced with supply chain challenges, leading to the setback.
