Apple, Samsung decide not to produce laptops in India due to country’s limited market

  • India accounts for only 2.4% of global demand for laptops and personal computers. In addition, the whole portfolio of these businesses does not include many laptops and PCs.
  • Therefore, it is not logical for Apple to move its production base from China to India or for Samsung to move it from Vietnam to India.
