2,454 participants from the US and 11 other nations participated in the trial. These participants sent more than 1,25,000 ECGs via their Apple Watch between August 2021 and February 2022.
The AI algorithm identified patients with poor EF ((ejection fraction) by utilising the mean prediction across a 30-day window or the nearest ECG to the echocardiography that established the EF.
