AppSurfer Launches Try & Buy Ad Unit for Higher Click Through Rates on Mobile

AppSurfer, the company which makes it possible for users to try an app before they buy it, has launched a new advertisement unit on the same lines. Basically, instead of showing users plain advertisements, you can show them an ad on which they can try your app and install it if they like.

Try and Install ad is an HTML5 interactive ad unit, which let users ‘Play’ with the app instantly before installing it on device. It works with current ad networks out of the box, the company said.

The Pune based company says that over 7000 Android developers are already using AppSurfer tools. “We have run 400k+ app runs till now,” said Amit Yadav, Co-Founder and Business Head, AppSurfer.

The ad unit can be used by networks like Inmobi, Admob, agencies and large volume app publishers. Based on the initial tests, the company says that it has found 16% more click through rates.

Once a developer submits an app to AppSurfer, the company creates and hosts interactive ad for the application. You get a creative ad URL for an app, which can be used in any ad campaign.

Appsurfer also has a mobile app on which you can try out other applications before you install it.
