Starting from April, Government will need to procure at least 20% of products and services from MSMEs.
“If the MSMEs can deliver the goods and services as per prescribed technical & quality specifications, the norms on prior experience and prior turnover will be relaxed for them,” said, the MSME Ministry.
Last month, MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra had found that despite the mandatory procurement policy, less than half of the PSUs were not complying with the mandatory 20% policy.
