Avagmah, the online education services company backed by serial entrepreneurs K Ganesh and Meena Ganesh, is raising Rs 100 Cr to target Asia’s growing market for online education, the company said.
Ganesh had made a strategic investment Avagmah, the online higher education business of Bangalore based 24×7 Learning earlier. The education company offers various MBA degrees through a 100% online programs and certificate courses in law and digital marketing.
It has also partnered with the Jack Welch Managemet institute to deliver a 6 week online certificate course on leadership (costs Rs 60,000) and other institutions like the Bharathidasan Unviersity, Appolo Medvarsity and Whistling Woods International, a film making school.
Avagmah had an order book of Rs 20 Cr in 2014 and is estimating sales will grow 6x in the coming year as it expands beyond India to target the online education market in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Middle East.
The company has clients including Convergys, Infosys, Accenture, Abbot, Titan, Airtel, HP, Glenmark, Syntel, Aditya Birla Group and Astra Zeneca who sponsor students for its online courses.
