AWS and Agriculture?
Well, AWS is actively exploring moving into the healthcare and agriculture space in India and enable innovation in these sectors via their expertise in cloud computing and next-gen technologies.
In agriculture, it would mean increased crop yield, better utilisation of agricultural land and simplified trade for farmers, while with healthcare, the problem of access and reduction of fraud are areas of interest.
Technologies like machine learning and data analysis can be used to analyse the providers, and map and understand the data that is already available to reach to the needy communities and individuals. “Many of our healthcare customers use algorithms for assessing fraud, and make sure the money goes where it needs to be,” said Carlson, Vice President – Worldwide Public Sector of Amazon Web Services.
