Event ticketing company, Ayojak has secured funding from Harvard Business Angels, Blume Ventures, and Srijan Capital. Investors in Ayojak include Rajan Anandan, Ravi Gururaj & others from HBS Alumni Angels, Blume Ventures, Srijan Capital and Kishore Warrier and post funding, Ravi Gururaj will join the board of Ayojak.
Ayojak, which was started in 2009 had a remarkable growth after founder, Santosh Panda moved back to India and focused on operations (read : “600% Revenue growth in one year. This is why you should move full-time into your venture”).
Interestingly, Ayojak is Santosh’s third attempt at starting up and the funding will be used for category expansion. Given that last year, BookmyShow’s parent company, BigTree raised INR 100crores from Accel Partners, expect more investment in this category as the whole MICE industry grows to different categories and cities.
