A few months back we shared stories of startups/entrepreneurs that spells pure romance and one of the company that we profiled was getoffurass.com.
Getoffurass offers adventurous packages for destinations like Leh Ladakh, Goa etc and here is what Sameer wrote about them earlier:
Santosh is more of a traveler and dreamer, but unlike the rest of us, has had the conviction and guts to follow up on these, and over the years, have seen him establish himself as a specialized, niche player in the travel space. He probably has more repeat customers (and even repeat non-customers like yours truly
) that most travel portals. He’s also having lots of fun, probably making decent money and growing business while keeping it really really close to his vision of what it should be. Getoffurass has been acquired by Bangalore based Travel Tours (which also acquired photographyonthemove.com) in order to reach out to a wider audience (Travel Tours Ltd provides service in immigration facilities across the globe) (via).
If you ask what’s the big deal about such ‘small’ initiatives, well it’s the experimentation without expecting a major RoI. Sometimes one has to just listen to the calling and see things as they come.
