Airtel has partnered with Babajobs (only for Karnataka region) to bring blue collar jobs to one’s mobile.
Termed ‘Job On Mobile Service’, blue collar workers (i.e. cooks/drivers etc) can create their profile, choose the desired salary range/job locations, browse jobs using the service.
The service is charged Rs 10 for 10 days job alerts (now, that’s sachet pricing!) and one can start/stop the service by dialing *321*666#.
A much needed service, as Internet is just not the right medium to get on blue collar workers – it actually becomes an operational business and ceases to be a platform business.
