Through Whatsapp, Bangaloreans can now connect with the city police for any query or complaints.
The numbers went live on Tuesday and is operational. The 10 Deputy Commissioners of the city have been provided with these WhatsApp numbers but no SMS or calls will be attended.

The DCPs will check all the Whatsapp messages and send personnel to the spot to attend to the complaint. The city police control room also has a dedicated WhatsApp number and all the complaints registered via the number, will be forwarded to the zonal DCP concerned.
