An Uber driver allegedly misbehaved with a techie passenger when he was driving her from HSR Layout to SG Palya on Tuesday night.
Passenger’s brother took to twitter to report the lewd behavior of driver during the drive.
“Soon after my sister boarded from HSR Layout sector 7, the accused driver stopped the car multiple times in the slow moving traffic. While waiting at the Silk Board signal, the driver started to touch himself while the car was stationary, and continued the lewd gesture until she reached home,” passenger’s brother said in his tweet.
He also added that Uber did not respond his tweets immediately and only responded the next day.
When confronted, the driver apologized to her and asked her to give her a five-star rating.
The Bengaluru police have treated the case as high priority reportedly and are looking out for the driver.
“Yesterday we got a complaint via twitter about the misbehavior of an Uber cab driver, we will look into the matters,” said MB Borlingaiya,DCP Bengaluru.
In the meanwhile, Uber has put the driver on wait-list and are cooperating with the police for lookout.
