Too many Broadband/DTH providers – how do you choose one which one is most optimal for you? There are a few guides (mostly EPGs) already available online, but Trimbill takes the comparison to one level deep, i.e. up to channel level.
Trimbill is a free online service that helps users to compare and find the best suitable Broadband or DTH Connection for their type of use. The team keeps track of new plans, offers and update them in the database and saves the prospective buyer a lot of time and energy by comparing all the plans at one place, rather than going to each provider’s site and then compare.
For instance, you can compare DTH providers based on channels they broadcast:
Similarly, for Broadband you can compare the service providers based on the usage.
The idea seems interesting, though some of the providers are missing – for instance, there are only 4 DTH providers listed on the site and similarly for Broadband, names like Sify are missing.
As far as business model goes, I am not sure how much of this can convert into a practical monetization model [unless they are into affiliate business]. The team plans to foray into related services like credit cards, cell phone plans etc and business model will involve Affiliate/Pay per Lead as well as exposing APIs for DTH connections to other sites.
Do give Trimbill a spin and share your comments. How useful is it (in the current state)?
