Since its launch on December 30th, the govt’s official digital payments app BHIM has clocked 5.11 million downloads, with 6,91,800 transactions, topping the charts on Google Play India, Niti Ayog CEO Amitabh Kant said.

Named after Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, BHIM (Bharat Interface for Mobile) can be used by anyone with a working phone and a bank account linked to that phone number. You can use it to send and receive money directly to bank accounts.
