Conceptualized in November 2015, gear6 began operations in January 2016 and clocked 1500 orders in the first three months, said the company.
gear6 hopes to bring the whole Two Wheeler Service sector online and simplify end-to-end bike maintenance which includes servicing, repairs, insurance and emergency services. The company has tie-ups with more than 100 authorized service centers with real-time tracking to ensure customers have the comfort of knowing the status of their bike, at any given time.
This recent round of funding will be used in marketing, expanding the customer base and bringing on board more service centers to increase reach in Bangalore.
CEO Rakesh Vaddadi said, “The motorcycle maintenance landscape in the country is largely fragmented and un-organised, with a large disparity in rates, service quality and customer experience across garages and service centres. It’s to address this problem that we founded gear6.in.”
