Bipasha Basu Joins the Online Retail Bandwagon With The Trunk Label

trunklabel logoBollywood actress & model Bipasha Basu is the face of the newly launched portal The Trunk Label, a fashion accessories store, by Label Corp.

Label Corp already has celebrity endorsement for its other two portals.  The first one endorsed by Sussanne Roshan retails in home decor products and was launched in November 2012 and the second one , endorsed by Malaika Arora Khan retails in fashion clothing, was launched in May 2013.

The Trunk Label retails in accessories including shoes, bags, belts and jewellery.

Celebrity brand endorsements has been a mainstay in the retail industry for a very long time. It is one of the easiest ways to increase the longevity of a brand.

Recently Hrithik Roshan made an exclusive partnership with online shopping portal Myntra to launch his casual wear brand HRX. The brand retails in products including casual and active wear in apparel and sports footwear for men.

Salman Khan had launched and has been endorsing his brand Being Human everywhere. The clothing line is being retailed through various online stores and also through Being Human offline stores and kiosks across the country.

Celebrity sports person Sachin Tendulkar was also recently roped in by UAE based travel portal Musafir to promote its site.

But having celebrity endorsements might not be the only way to sustain a brand. So was seen in the case of endorsed by Neha Dhupia.  The online store, launched in 2011, retailed in lingerie, nightwear, accessories, fragrances, had to shut shop earlier this year.
