Birds Eye Systems Raises Funding from Matrix Partners
Matrix Partners has invested in the first institutional round of funding for Birds Eye Systems Private Limited, a startup which offers real-time traffic and travel information for Indian cities.
The amount of funding wasn’t disclosed.
Last year, the company had raised Rs 2 cr from Indian Angel Network. Traffline, the company’s flagship product, is a low-cost, real-time traffic monitoring system that broadcasts live traffic conditions to road commuters.
It also provides software and mobile applications, for transport related applications. Brijraj Vaghani, the co-founder and CEO of the company has worked with Qualcomm and Nextwave Wireless in the US, before moving back to India and starting Birds Eye Systems. His co-founder and CTO, Ravi Khemani, has worked previously with careerbuilder.com in the US and Sears International in India.
