Mumbai based exam paper solutions marketplace BOOKstreet has been selected into the first batch of the BSE-Ryerson Incubation Center’s (BRIC) program.
BOOKstreet is one among the 8 companies selected from India and Canada for the program. The BRIC program is a joint venture between the Bombay Stock Exchange Institute, Ryerson University of Toronto, Simon Fraser University and Ryerson Futures and is aimed at providing mentorship and collaborative opportunities to startups in the Indian and Canadian markets.
BOOKstreet is marketplace for solutions to past exam papers for undergraduates. The platform provides solutions for past exam papers called ‘Smart Solutions’, which are written by university professors, and help students to focus on important topics of the course while preparing for exam.
Authors can solve question papers for various subjects and sell them directly to students via the platform. Users can then access these solutions from various devices including tablets and mobile phone.
“BOOKstreet currently hosts Smart Solutions for Engineering courses in Mumbai University. We are in the process of integrating courses offered by 2 more leading universities in India by mid 2014.” said Archana Lal, Cofounder BOOKstreet.
Archana co founded BOOKstreet along with Sandeep, an IIT Delhi alumnus, in 2012.
The other Indian startup that is part of the program is Blynk.
Blynk is an Ahmedabad based hospitality software and technology company that develops iOS apps for hotel and restaurant.
