India Bans Bulk SMS till September 30th [Update]

Indian government has banned bulk SMS and MMS for the next three days, owing to Ayodhya verdict which is expected to be announced on September 24th.

The 60 year old case will finally see verdict from Allahabad High Court and The Union Ministry of Communications & Information Technology has ordered all operators to ban bulk SMS and MMS.

Update (Sep 23rd): Supreme Court has deferred the verdict till September 28th and the sms/mms ban continues till September 30th.
