Byju’s Acquires Student Profile-builder Vidyartha in Rs 50 Crore Deal


Byju’s has acquired Bangalore-based learning guidance tool and student profile-builder Vidyartha, for close to Rs 50 crore, according to a report by TOI.
Started in August 2012, Vidyartha offers customised guidance platforms to schools to help students of classes 8-12 with their learning needs. It aims at understanding each student at multiple levels, including learning interests, conceptual understanding across relevant areas, academic performance and personality traits are evaluated through proprietary assessments, designed uniquely for each class.
The results are then used as foundation blocks to create unique learning paths for each student.

Byju’s said, “Vidyartha has been doing some great work in the learning guidance and career planning space for school students.They have created an unique learning guidance platform that guides students based on their learning paths. As India’s largest ed-tech company, we are constantly innovating to create highly personalized learning products and Vidyartha will supplement our efforts in doing so.”

Vidyartha will continue to operate as a separate brand following the acquisition.
