Mumbai based ambitionME launches student centric counselling platform

Being in college, students often get confused when it comes to choosing a career. Some counseling can come in handy. To help students with making career choices, Mumbai based ambitionME has launched a youth centric platform.

Through the online as well as offline platform, students can discover opportunities and explore various career avenues via fun activities,contests, skill-building exercises, opportunity listings and while reading through relevant content.

Currently the startup offers features such as making your CV professional, cracking a personal interview and gearing up for group discussion via FaceBook login and allows access to its Resume freebook (link) and exclusive content around above two.

Making your CV professional feature, guides students and graduates with less than one year of work experience on how to make a professional CV and stresses on components like content, layout/format and keywords.

“Cracking a personal interview,” helps fresh graduates to prepare for three vital areas of interview –  Knowledge component,  Awareness component, and the Personality Component. It also contains worksheets that helps them to organize their answers and look up for important information.
AmbitionmeFounded by IIM alumni Prashi Agarwal, Varsha Sarkar and Vishal Haria, ambitionME has partnered with companies across various domains like Finance (ICICI Direct), Journalism (Outlook Money) and Analytics (LatentView Analytics) and several others with keen interest to engage and tap young and fresh talent.

ambitionME also conducts offline seminars and workshops in Delhi NCR and charges a fee from students and partners. Vishal Haria, co-founder says that the company has outlined various pricing models, including a freemium content model, targeted advertisements, and sponsored activities to monetize the platform.

The startup has conducted 20+ workshops (paid and unpaid) targeting 60+ colleges across Delhi/NCR. In terms of future plans, Haria said “We are developing an online platform that takes this concept of self-discovery (explained above) online and expand it to include non-career related aspects as well”.

ambitionME is being bootstrapped through equity and has not raised any external funding. “We are planning to raise funds in near future to grow the team while rolling out the platform”, concluded Haria.
