Centre orders to block tweets, YouTube videos sharing BBC documentary critical of PM Modi

  • Under the IT Rules, 2021, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry issued the orders to YouTube and Twitter. Both Twitter and YouTube have followed the rules.
  • Additionally, more than 50 tweets with links to those YouTube videos have been requested to be blocked. The BBC documentary is referred to as propaganda by the ministry of external affairs.
