After the debacle called Freedom 251, which promised to provide cheap smartphones in India, only to put buyers on a perpetual wait list, a company by the name ChampOne has announced the launch of a new smartphone called ChampOne C1 at just Rs 501.
The lower price tag, however, is for promotions sake only, and once it is launched countrywide, the price is supposed to shoot up to Rs. 7,999.
The company has a website: Champ1india.com, where its smartphone is listed. Although the company wants you to register yourself to buy the phone, the ‘Register Now’ button, just like much of its website, is non-functional. Not just that, their email addresses also rejects the mail, leaving us with some serious doubts.
