Chinese Consortium Offers $1.2 Billion For Opera Browser

Opera Software, maker of Opera web browser, said Wednesday that China’s Golden Brick Silk Road investment fund had offered $1.2 billion to buy the company. The transaction would give access to the extensive internet user base in China, Opera said, which also has a massive mobile advertising business.
