Cleartrip has launched ‘Flights + Hotel Search’ feature, that enables customers to choose the airline and hotel of their choice in a snap.
This is a customized product which provides customers the ability to search & book roundtrip flights and hotel stay while monitoring their overall budget.
One can choose hotels based on star rating/area/chain/price and amenities. Similarly, flights can be filtered on airlines, price, time, number of stops and ticket type – and the price is updated on-the-fly.
This looks interesting, but in my opinion, Cleartrip has a long way to go – hotel filters aren’t helpful enough to make decisions (I like inasra’s filters as they have a broader coverage and wide filters). Cleartrip also needs to hit the long tail by bringing service apartments and govt. approved hotels under the listings.
Next step for Cleartrip should be to cover the entire gamut of traveling – right from railway reservation, cab booking to bus ticketing?
What’s your take?
