- State-owned Coal India Ltd (CIL) reported a 12.6% year-on-year increase in coal production to 51.4 million tonnes (MT) in September.
- The company’s output from April to September also rose by 11.3% to 332.9 MT, compared to 299 MT the previous year.
- CIL’s coal offtake in September also increased by 12.6% to 55.1 MT, and by 8.6% to 360.7 MT for the April-September period.
